Hello bloggers. I am Albin. Welcome to my blog. Today I will be showing you my favourite websites that helps in my learning. 

1. Blogger

Blogger is a website that plays a huge role in my learning age. It helps me share a lot of information. And by the way lets not forget that bloggers is simple to use.  

2.My Drive

My drive is a simple storage website by google. It allows us to store information without actually using the computer storage. Since it is from google, it allows us to access google drawings, docs, slides and many more.  

3. Google Drawings

Google drawings is a website that allows us to draw or make stuff using shapes. It is also a really easy website to use. 

4. Google slides

Google slides is a really easy website. I do a most of my stuff there. Using this we can create new presentation and we can also create new animation.

Pick up litter around your street

It feels satisfying after picking up the litter, since it is better to see a clean street rather than a street filled with rubbish. While cleaning it just feels like cleaning my home. After cleaning it up, my house way better. It was easy but I have seen many streets that may seem really hard to clean.

SLJ-2(Day-3) Week-2

Hello bloggers. I am Albin and today i will be sharing with you a short story that i wrote.

The day before christmas, Leslie was walking through the road to a store where she buys her christmas presents for everyone. The store's name is "Christmas presents for everyone ". As she reached the store she was shocked to see the store closed. There was sign in front of it saying "For Rent". She was really sad. But still she looked around for any number so that he can contact the owner. But she gave up after a little time and when she was about to leave she found a note that showed the owner's number. She tried calling the owner but all her tries where in vain. 

She returned home with a heart of sorrowness  nothing to do when suddenly showed up in her house saying, "I became the accountant of a person who had some problem with his files for the loan. His name Peter." Leslie quickly remembered the name. It was the name of the owner of the shop. She told her sister the story and she said she would help him with the files  and get his shop back in business. Next day the shop was opened and the all had a wonderful christmas together.

Hello bloggers, welcome to my summer learning blog. Today's activity is this 
For this activity, let’s imagine that the government decides to create a new $10 bank note and replace Kate with a picture of a different New Zealand woman.

 So if i get to change the picture of woman on the $10 currency note, I would change the picture to picture of Dame Whina Cooper. She was the woman who improved the lives of the maori. She fighted for the land rights of the maori and also the rights of woman. In 1930, she was just like a leader of the North Island’s Hokianga district. She worked alongside Apirana Ngata. In 1975 she was the leader of the maori women's welfare. She was born on 1895 and died on 1994.

Hello bloggers. It is me Albin and welcome back to my summer learning blog. Today I will be writing a journal on how a day in the life of Nelson Mandela  at the Robben Island Prison.

I am in the land of full of loneliness, but that will not stop me from being a lawyer. I have spent days and months in this prison, studying hard and being tortured while being forced to do a lot of work. It is really hard staying here. The people here is has no other goal in life, but I have.   

I have a straw mat to sleep on. This straw mat is really rough. It is better to sleep on the rock rather than sleep on this straw. It is really painful to sleep on that. I have to go through lot of poking through the cold, miserable night.

For this activity, we would like you to calculate Jessa’s age when she won the NAIDOC Youth of the Year award. She was born on 7 April 1985 and she received the award on 9 July 2010. Please provide the answer to this question in years, months and days (eg. 20 years, 6 months and 2 days).

On your blog, please post both your final answer and an explanation of how you solved this maths problem. You could write your explanation, or use screencastify to record yourself explaining how you solved it.

I solved this mathematical solution by first figuring out how many years there is a difference. Then i did the same with the month and day. So that is it bloggers. See you on my next blog.

1. Taking Photos

The first thing like to do the most is to take photos using my camera. Here is some of my photos that I took. 

2. Electronics

I also like doing electronic. I have made a rc car. It is really amazing to do. Here is a small science lab. 

3. Making stuff  

I like making stuff or doing craft. I have made a arcade steering wheel where we can play games. 

4. Studying

I like studying things like 3d animation or coding language PHP. 

5.Reading 

I also like reading story books in my free time.

Hello bloggers. I am Albin and welcome back to my summer learning blog. Today is my third day and today's activity is "What three superpowers would you most like to have?" So let's get started. 

1. Eye laser

I chose this power because it will act as a weapon. In case I am locked up in a cell and my hands are tied too then I then I can just use laser to break my handcuffs and the cell. And if I went for a walk and then suddenly I was under attack then I could use it. 

2. Super strength

This power is like the basic of most super hero. Using this I can attack any villain with my bare hands. 

3. Super speed

Using this power I can out stand all the villains. I can react to them faster than they could. 

So that is it. Wit these three powers I can outstand any villain.

Hello bloggers. It is me Albin. Welcome to my summer learning blog. Today I will be showing you a small poem that I wrote If I was the lucky person to step on the moon.  So let's get started. 

I jumped on the moon, like a trampoline, 
With my Two little shoes, on my foot.
I can float and float all day long,
Without getting bored at all!
But there is no one with me, I am all alone, 
Except for the aliens who live all along on the moon. 

I have been here for half an hour, jumping around halfway around the moon, 
But it feels so hot inside so I decided to remove my suit. 
Wait there is no air outside!! 
Then came the time where I had to leave,
the awesome moon. 
And then I heard a familiar noise, "Tring!!!, Tring!!!, Tring!!! 
I remember, It was my noisy alarm clock!

Hello bloggers. I am Albin and welcome to my summer learning blog. Today I will be sharing with you about the two famous female aviators. They both fly a lot of solo flights. So let's get started. 

Jean Batten

She was born in New Zealand in 1903. She did a lot of solo trips in her plane across the globe. The flight from New zealand to England was her greatest achievement of all. She flew all the way to England on her own. She also flew plenty of flights from Australia to England. She always wore her silk dress on the parties that were conducted on her arrival. She was the best women avator in the history of New Zealand.

Amelia Earhart 

This great woman also lived at the time of Jean Batten in America. She also flew a lot solo fights. She was the first woman to cross the Atlantic ocean on her own. She flew all the way from Canada to Northern Ireland. She also started her circumnavigate( around the world trip). But it didn't end as planned. She went missing on an island called Howland. It was between hawaii and Australia. She was never found.

So that is all about two great aviator. Now I will show you the differences and similarities between these pilots.

SLJ-2(Day1)

Nice meeting you again. It is me Albin here and welcome to my summer learning blog. This is my second summer learning blog. And this is also my second activity and today I will show you where I come from and what my culture is. And by the way read my first summer learning blog.   

So I come from another continent, Asia. In Asia I come from India. It is really a big country.  There are 29 states and 22 languages. I live in Kerala. It is in the southern side of the country. It is known for its spices. I live in the capital of the state, Trivandrum. There are a lot of cities. The cities may be small or crowded. By crowded I mean really crowded because it is the second most populous country. The image on the left is a street on the busiest city, Kolkata.  

So let me tell you some of our cultures. There is a festival called onam there. It is the harvest festival. There are a lot flowers and drawing in front of homes. There are competitions like boat races. It is an amazing festival.                   

The food that I eat consist of mainly a flatbread and some spicy, delicious curry. What we eat for flatbread is mainly steamed food. But our staple food is rice. The farmers there grow rice. The food there is very spicy and some people even eat raw chilli.   

We speak a language called Malayalam. Hindi is our national language but we also speak english. And the schools are very strict. The teachers there are very strict. We need to study a lot and do a lot of exams in the schools.

SLJ-1 (Day 1)

Hello bloggers. I am Albin and welcome to my summer learning blog. Today's activity is to find out a list of ten foods that I can take with me for my journey in boat, if I am a sailor. So here are the ten foods that I will take with me on a long journey on a boat. 

1. Apple

I choose this because it can stay without fridge for 2-3 weeks. And it also gives us energy. It is just like nature's candy. And by the way "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

2.Orange juice

An unopened Orange juice can stay about for 12 - 18 months! So i choose this. 

3.Potatoes

A potato can last without being in refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. 

4.Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

This can last for about 2 weeks, so i kept it in my list. 

5.Coffee

I can store hot coffees in my flask if I want.  

6.Carrots

So Carrots can stay upto 2 weeks fresh without refrigerating.

7.Sweet potato 

Sweet potato is also in my list because this food last for about 2 weeks. 

8.Tomatoes

Tomatoes can last long to so I added it in my list. 

9.Garlic 

Garlic also last very long.

10.Honey

I added it because it sweet and there is no need of fridge for that.

So that is my list of food that I would take with me if I go on a long boring journey on a boat or a ship. 

Careers

Hello bloggers. This is Albin and today I will be showing you what we did for this week. 

So this week we were allowed to investigate a career. It was really fun doing that. On monday I investigated on the career pilot. I found out that to be a pilot we must pass a lot of test and have at least 200 hours of flight. So to be a pilot we have to study a lot. And flying a plane is not at all like flying a plane in a game. To have the full experience of a pilot try playing X plane 10. In that game you actually get to control all the buttons on a plane. It is available in both ios and android and it is completely free. So try playing that game and experience how pilots fly the plane. 

So i found out that after driving this extremely huge and complex machine a pilot earns $788400 per year! That is a lot of money. But sometimes it can be tiring. So here is a day in a life of a pilot that I wrote. 

A Day in the Life of a Pilot

I am going to fly my first airplane after 2 years of my training and 200 hours of flight even though the plane is running on autopilot most of the time. It is the landing. It is really hard, if you don’t believe me then try playing a pilot game like RFS. It is the part were most planes crash.  It is really exciting.I have to fly from christchurch to dunedin. The flight time is 8:30 to 9:35. SO to start I had to wake up at 6, get ready by 7 and leave by 7:30. I had to get to the airport an hour before take off. 

SO i have reached the airport. By the way I am not flying a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, on my on. I have a compainian, I mean a captain. I am a co-pilot. OS we got onto the plane and started the engine 15 minutes before take off so that it may get a boost. Everyone got ready. The engineers started checking the aircraft for any broken things. Then the fuel was refilled to the aircraft. The luggage was getting delivered to the plane. Meanwhile the crew members arrived as well as the passengers. By 8:20 everyone was ready. I got the permission for taxing to the runway. Then I checked whether the flaps were working, same with rudder and then we were ready to go. I got the permission for take off and off we go.

The captain reached the cruising altitude and turned on the autopilot. It was amazing. We also turned off the seat belt signs.

Bridge to terabithia

Hello bloggers. I am Albin and today I will show you our new book called bridge to terabithia. 

Have you read that book or watch that movie. It is amazing. It about a Boy and a girl who open a new world called Terabithia. In the world they face lot of creatures imaginary or non imaginary. It shows that using our imagination we can create anything. But sadly the girl dies at the end of the movie. It's a heartbreaking movie. I will show you my review about the book. 

There is a new kid in the school. Her name is leslie(acted by AnnaSophia Robb). She lives next door to Jess (acted by Josh Hutcherson). They both like running. They become friends within a few weeks. There is a lot of space where they live. There is enough space for them to open a new world called Terabithia. They swing across a river and reach the new world.

The new girl shows that using our imagination we can create anything. They both have lots of fun at terabithia. But sadly the girl dies since the rope breaks and she drowns. But that doesn’t stop Jess from going into terabithia.

So that is my review. It is a good book and we do some activities based on it. So that is it. If you want to see the movie it is free on youtube. I hope you like it.

Pet day

Hello bloggers. It is Albin here and today I will be sharing with you what we did on pet day. 


So I wasn't able to finish my earlier blog. In that blog i just wrote about the first part of the pet day, the vege sculptures or the sand saucers. So let me tell you what we did after that. We then had our morning tea.  Then we went for hobby race. It was awesome. We also had a some skill presentation of a horse done by bridget. 

Now comes the activity. It was awesome. I was asked to lead a group. First we played a game. It was like this, we have to take a cup of sand and empty it on the other bucket kept on the other side.



And then there was running through the cones,  rolling the tires gumboot throwing and finally hobby race. It was great warm up. 


Now comes the heart of the pet day. Every pet comes to school. There were ponies, rabbits, tiny fishes, cats, cute puppies, birds and a turtle. 




We also took a photo with two tractors. 

                                                  

Finally the great day come to an end.
